My Review:

Another good book from Brittainy C. Cherry. It was good to read, but it wasn't my favorite book from the author.

Sometimes it just takes time to get to the happy lyrics.

The story is about a guy, named Ian who is an amazing musician, the lead singer of a band which is so popular in his hometown. He is a ladies man, every girl wants him and he has a lot of affairs. But it seems that he is more than a womanizer, he helps his grandparents and works on their farm, Ian has some problems because of his childhood. Of course he just needed a extravagant girl who changed him. It was predictable but I didn't care.

There's always some good in the bad parts of every story.

Hazel (I love her name) is in a really difficult situation. Her mother is pregnant and a drug addict, her stepfather a drug dealer. Because of this she is alone, doesn't have friends, she has to take care of herself. As I said, she is extravagant- she always wears black and her makeup is too much- but everything is for a reason, and of course she slowly changed because of Ian.

Just have a bit of faith. You don't need much. Just enough to get you through until tomorrow.

Despite the fact that the story was predictable I liked it. But I was missing something. I loved the book's second half more, it became more exciting. I think the characters were too good. Ian became a perfect boyfriend, and a too perfect guy, and Hazel was too self-sacrificing in my opinion.

The most important things in life, are worth fighting for. No matter what fear says.

So I liked the story, especially the second half of it. The plot was good, but I think there could have been more complications in it. The dual point of view was good for the story, but the characters could have been more complex, not so perfect. But these aside I liked the book and the author's style (as always). It was a beautifully written story. 4*

Our love song isn't over. We're just getting to the chorus, and I'm going to sing for you, for us, until forever.

Hazel Stone was my best friend, my darling, my melody, my song. And damn... She sounded so good.

Újabb jó kis Brittainy C. Cherry könyv! Jól esett olvasni, de nem mondom, hogy a kedvenc könyvem az írónőtől.

A történet egy srácról, Ian-ről szól, aki fantasztikus zenész, a helyi kis faluban és környékén nagyon népszerű együttes frontembere. A csajok csak úgy bomlanak a srác után, és ő ezt ki is használja. De természetesen hamar kiderül, hogy nem ilyen felszínes. Segít nagyszüleinek, a farmjukon dolgozik, és gyerekkora miatt problémái vannak. Persze csak egy különc csaj kell, aki miatt megváltozik. Ez persze igen kiszámítható volt, de nem bántam.

Hazel (mellesleg nagyon tetszik a neve) nagyon nehéz helyzetben van. Anyja drogfüggő, mostohaapja pedig a helyi "drogbáró". Emiatt nincsenek barátai, magáról kell gondoskodnia. Visszahúzódó és mint mondtam nagyon különc, fekete ruhákban jár, ijesztően sminkeli magát - persze mindennek megvan az oka, és persze Ian hatására meg is változik.

Attól függetlenül, hogy kiszámítható történet nekem tetszett. De valami hiányzott. Először nem gondoltam volna hogy tetszeni fog, mert nagyon "egyszerűnek" éreztem, aztán a könyv felénél jött az izgalom. Felpörgött a sztori, ami miatt átértékeltem a korábbi véleményem. Persze bonyolíthatta volna még, mert szerintem túl tökéletesre sikerültek a szereplők. Ian hihetetlenül jó fiú, tökéletes pasi lett, Hazel pedig szerintem túl önfeláldozó.

A sztori tetszett, a kezdeti egyszerűsége, kiszámíthatósága ellenére, de igazából a könyv második fele fogott meg.

Alapvetően a cselekmény tetszett, de lehetett volna benne több bonyodalom. A kettős nézőpont előnyére vált a történetnek. A szereplők lehettek volna komplexebbek, nem ennyire tökéletesek, de ezektől függetlenül tetszett a könyv, tetszett a stílus, ahogy ezt már megszokhattam az írónőtől. Szépen megírt történet. Kellemes kikapcsolódást jelentett számomra. 4*
