My Review

When I started reading this book I expected something else. In the beginning it was hot. Tuck’s friends took him to a sex club on his birthday where he met Francesca. They were starngers, didn’t know anything  about each other. They wore masks and used nicknames. It was Tuck’s first (and last) night there, Francesca the same. She went there on her wedding day, she wanted to have fun, to move on after her fiance cheated on her. After this I thought it would be a hot erotic romance with some complications because of other women, because of the exes. But no no…

There were a huge plottwist which changed everything. And because of this (I won’t write down what it is) the book changed, it became more emotional, ( still funny and hot) but it wasn’t just a lighthearted story. And I loved this. Especially the dual point of views. I loved reading both Francesca’s and Tuck’s thoughts. Both of them had problems, their past was so different but they had a hard life when they were children and teenagers.

I loved how strong was Francesca, she could move on after the cheating, and she was strong (but still so unsure) when the big polttwist came. She were funny too. I loved her thoughts, and inner monologues.

Tuck was a hot NFL player, but he was so much more than this. What I loved about him, that he wasn’t on the top of  his game in the NFL, he made mistakes, he started to get old in this sport. So when he met Francesca he wasn’t the NFL superstar he once was. And I loved this, it made the story different from the other football romance.

About the friends… I absolutely loved them, they were needed in this story, both Jasper and Cece, Brogan, Darden were funny and family. I laughed out loud a lot of times.

So overall, the story was good, I liked the plot, the complex characters. I absolutely loved the ending, it warmed my heart. Perfect read the weekend. 4.5*

Mikor elkezdtem olvasni ezt a könyvet, teljesen másra számítottam. Az elején a történet nagyon erotikus volt, hiszen Tuck barátai meglepték Tuck-ot szülinapján és elvitték egy elit szexklubba. Itt találkozott Francescaval, ahol egy nagyon forró éjszakát töltöttek együtt, úgy hogy nem tudtak a másikról semmit, álneveket használtak és maszkot viseltek. Ez volt Tuck első (és utolsó) éjszakája a klubban, ugyanúgy, mint Francescának. Francesca az esküvője napján ment el a klubba, miután az meghiúsult, mert a vőlegénye megcsalta. Kikapcsolódni, felejteni is akart. Azt hittem így fog folytatódni a történet és egy erotikus romantikus könyvet fogok olvasni, ahol bonyodalmat az exek és egyéb Tuckot meghódítani akaró hölgyek jelentenek majd.

De olyan fordulat van a könyvben (nem árulom el mi az), ami alapjaiban változtatja meg a történetet. Ezek utaán sokkal érzelmesebb lesz a történet, bár vannak menne forró jelenetek, és nagyon sok vicces rész is, de nem egy könnyed történetté teljesedik ki a sztori. Nekem ez a váltás nagyon tetszett. Kifejezetten tetszett a kettős nézőpont, mindkettőjük gondolatait imádtam olvasni. Mindkettőjük múltja nehéz volt. Teljesen máshogy nőttek fel, de mégis szenvedtek, nehéz volt az életük, ez befolyásolta a jelenüket is.

Francescat nagyon megkedveltem, mert egy erős karakter, nemcsak tovább tudott lépni  a megcsaláson, de a felmerült „problémával” is szembe tudott nézni, lassan de feldolgozta (bár nem mindig volt biztos a dolgába). Vicces szereplő is volt, szerettem a gondolatait és belső monológjait olvasni.

Tuck-ot megszerettem. Egy NFL játékos, de ennél sokkal több volt ő. Ami tetszett, az volt, hogy mikor megismerjük, már nem az a nagy NFL sztár aki régen volt. Hibázik és kezd kiöregedni a sportból. Pont ez tette az ő karakterét különlegessé számomra, teljesen más lett emiatt ez a történet mint más focis románc.

Meg kell említenem még a barátokat.. ők valami fantasztikusak voltak! Viccesek voltak a jeleneteik, sokszor nevettem fel hangosan, nagyon kellettek ehhez a sztorihoz.

Szóval összességében tetszett a történet. Jó volt a cselekmény, tetszettel a komplex karakterek, a befejezés pedig szuper lett, megmelengette a szívemet. Tökéletes olvasmány a hétvégére. 4.5*
