I look up into his dark eyes. “This is a dangerous game of cat and mouse we’re playing.” “More like a game of cat and bird,” he corrects. I straighten my posture, my nipples grazing his hard chest. “And we all know how that turns out in the end. The cat eats the bird.” Nine lightly scrapes his nails over my bare arms before pressing them into my skin. I gasp at the slight bite of pain. “No, the pretty bird swoops down from nowhere and sinks her sharp talons into the cat, marking him for life.” There’s no sarcasm in his voice. I don’t know how to begin to process what it is he’s saying. It takes all of my concentration to get out my next few words. “And...and then what?” Nine picks me up off the floor in one quick motion, flipping me back onto the bed. He crawls over my body, hovering above me, pinning my wrists to the mattress. He grazes his teeth over the sensitive spot behind my ear. I LOVED this book sooo much! Favorite!

(...) a life worth living doesn't come without trials. It's what makes us who we are.

I loved the characters, of course I loved Lenny and Nine, but it was really good to read about King, Preppy, Bear. It was good to read the scenes with Preppy and Nine together, it was so funny. 😊

You can read this book as a standalone, but I think that you should read the other books in this series before you start Nine.

Sometimes, you gotta almost die to remember that you're alive.

As always I have to tell you that I love the cover! 😍 I love the author's style, she never disappoints me.

Love is a two-sided sword that cuts at every turn.

The book was written in alternate POVs, I loved that we could read Lenny's inner thoughts, because of this we could see that she wasn't just a rich girl, she was a complex character.

(...) you aren't one thing. You can't be, because you're everything.

I absolutely loved reading Kevin's POV, I became fond of him, he was a criminal but he had a heart too, I loved how he cared about Lenny.

I know firsthand that sometimes you gotta burn shit to the ground to appreciate the beauty in the ashes.

This story was angsty, exciting, hot and I loved the plot twists in it!

This story was so interesting, I devoured it in record time. Nowadays reading was so erratic for me but now I found a book that was amazing and I couldn't put it down.

Congrats T. M. Frazier! 5* favorite!

Annyira tetszett ez a könyv! Kedvenc lett!
Szerettem a karaktereket, nagyon megkedveltem Lenny-t és Nine-t, de olyan jó volt, hogy újra felbukkantak a régi szereplők: King, Preppy, Bear... A sztorit külön feldobták azok a jelenetek, ahol Preppy és Nine együtt voltak, az ilyen fejezetek olyan viccesek voltak!
Ezt a könyvet önmagában is olvashatod, de úgy gondolom, hogy célszerű előbb elolvasni a sorozat korábbi részeit is, hogy teljes legyen a kép.
Az írónő minden könyvénél leírom szerintem, itt sem maradhat el: Imádom a borítót!😍 Szeretem az írónő stílusát, most sem csalódtam benne. A könyv kettős nézőpontból íródott, ami nálam mindig pozitív dolog. Jó volt olvasni Lenny gondoltait, mert így láthatjuk mennyire összetett karakter, nem csak egy gazdag csaj, ahogy az ember először gondolná. Kevin nézőpontja kifejezetten jót tett a történetnek, emiatt nagyon megkedveltem, egy bűnöző akinek van szíve. Nagyon jó volt olvasni, hogy hogyan gondoskodott, hogyan törődött Lennyvel.
Ez a történet izgalmas, szexi volt és nagyon tetszettek a könyvben lévő fordulatok.
Olyan érdekes volt ez a sztori, hogy rekord idő alatt elolvastam. Mostanában az olvasás elég akadozva megy, de végre ez a könyv úgy letkötött és annyira tetszett, hogy alig tudtam letenni.
