The Coldest Winter by Brittainy Cherry~ARC review

 Blurb:

I didn’t know he was forbidden until after our one night stand…
I met Milo Corti during his self-destructive era, and he met me during mine. That night when we crossed paths at a college party, we only had one goal in mind: to feel good during our personal hell storms. ⁣
After we parted ways, I’d planned to never see him again. That was until I showed up to my first day as a student-teacher and I found him sitting right there in front of me.⁣
Now I was forced to cross paths with the person who was meant to be nothing more than a fading memory.⁣
The more time we spent together, the more drawn I felt toward him. When his world took a shift for the worst, I couldn’t help myself but to lean in closer. .

My whole life I’d always done the right thing. For the first time ever, I wanted to do something very wrong.⁣ I wanted to fall in love with the one person who was off-limits.
The problem with falling for something forbidden? Once you began to descend, you were destined to crash.

My Review:
I don't know what to write about the book.  Brittainy writes beautifully as always. It's not a lighthearted story. This book was so sad, and I felt that it wasn't my book now. I could only read slowly, in small portions.
What I didn't really liked in this book that Starlet was older than  Milo. When they had a one night stand we could read that Starlet met a hot man. That Milo was manly, hot. Later when we became to know him more he was the total opposite. It turned out he was only 19 years old, needed tutoring. I felt sorry for him because the loss of her mother , and because of his relationship with his father. He was lonely and depressed. Not that strong man who we saw in the beginning of the book.
The fact that Starlet became Milo's tutor, and student teacher was exciting. This plot twist was good for the story.
Unfortunately I didn't feel that big love between the characters. I understood Milo's feelings, he was so lonely and Starlet cared about him so it was inevitable that he fell in love with her, the only point in his life he could count on.
The story was beautifully written, I loved and highlighted a lot of quotes.
You don't have to see the sunrise to witness its beauty. You can feel it against your soul.
So I think I didn't read the book at the best time. Now I can give 4*
...those were the people who mattered the most- the ones who saw you at your worst and still wanted to have you around
